Public opinion on the changes in the judicial system in Poland 2020
As regards the changes in the judicial system presented by the Law and Justice (PiS) government, the opinion of Poles was polarized. In 2020, four out of ten Poles described changes in the legal system as chaotic. Every third respondent described Poland's judiciary as politicized and the changes introduced by the Law and Justice party as a fight against pathology in the court. Nevertheless, every fourth person noted that the reform of the judiciary violates the constitution and the rules of law. On the other hand, every fourth person claimed that these changes would improve the functioning of the justice system in Poland.
