COVID-19: online purchase intention Chile

Approximately 49 percent of internet users surveyed in Chile stated that they wanted to shop for food and cleaning products online during the COVID-19 outbreak, up from 44 percent before the pandemic began. On the other hand, six percent of respondents said they intended to buy technology items via internet during the pandemic, down from 23 percent before the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Chile recorded its first confirmed case of COVID-19 on March 3, 2020. Exactly 16 days later, Chilean president Sebastian Piñera declared a 90-day state of catastrophe giving the government extraordinary powers to restrict freedom of movement and try to assure food supply and basic services.

The question was posed as follows: "En estos momentos, indique cuál es su interés en adquirir alguno de estos productos/servicios, con una escala de 1 a 5, donde 1 es 'Muy bajo' y 5 es 'Muy alto'".
