Popular online marketplaces for coffee in Italy 2020
In this survey conducted in June 2020, Italian respondents were asked whether they purchased coffee online in the last year, and in case they did, which platform they chose to do so. More than a half of the respondents reported not to have made any purchase of coffee using online platforms. Among those who did buy coffee online in the previous 12 months, a majority of people did so on Amazon, as much as 22 percent of the total. Another 12 percent of the respondents declared to have bought coffee directly on the website or the app of the desired brand or coffee producer, while only seven percent placed their purchase through a supermarket´s website or app.
