Supplementary notes

* Information for the years from 2011: Results of the population update based on the 2011 census. The following applies for the years 2008 to 2010: The reports from the registration authorities on which the population data are based contain numerous population register adjustments that were carried out as a result of the introduction of the personal tax identification number. The results can therefore only be compared to a limited extent with the previous or following year.

For the years from 2016 onwards, the results are only partially comparable with the previous year's values due to methodological changes and technical developments. Furthermore, there are limitations in the accuracy of the results, which result, among other things, from problems with the registration of those seeking protection.
