According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Malaysia, 63 percent of the female and 53 percent of male respondents decreased their online purchases because they have been affected by the economic impacts of COVID-19 as of May 2020. However, the same survey also shows that Malysians increased their online purchases because they were practicing social distancing during the pandemic.
