China: level of concern about child sexual abuse cases 2021

According to a survey on child sexual abuse prevention in China conducted in 2021, more than 78 percent of the respondents stated that they were very concerned or concerned about child sexual abuse issues, increasing by approximately seven percentage points compared to the previous year's responses. Less than four percent of respondents were not worried about these issues at all.

The survey was conducted among respondents who:
66.6 percent lived in cities, 17.8 percent lived in county towns, and 15.6 percent lived in rural areas;
8.3 percent aged below 15 years, 3.3 percent aged 15 to 20 years, 15.6 percent aged 21 to 30 years, 40.2 percent aged 31 to 40 years, 26.4 percent aged 41 to 50 years, 5.6 percent aged 51 to 60 years, 0.6 percent aged above 60 years;
81.6 percent were female and 18.4 percent were male.
