Number of university students in Russia 2021/2022, by gender and age
Over 237 thousand female students and about 205 thousand male students aged 18 years were enrolled in bachelor's, specialist's, and master's programs at Russian higher education institutions in the academic year 2021/2022. Most people in Russia finished school at the age of 17 or 18 years. Women outnumbered male higher education students in age categories up to 23 years.
