Kenya produced roughly 48.1 thousand metric tons of tea in June 2023, which was an decrease of about 16.9 percent in comparison to the previous month. Since the second half of 2019, the amount of tea produced in the country has presented fluctuations, following varying weather conditions. Together with horticultural products, tea is a leading foreign exchange for Kenya.
