Approval of the legalization of same-sex marriages South Korea 2023, by age group
According to a 2023 survey, about 64 percent of South Korean respondents aged 19 to 29 years old stated that they support the legalization of same-sex marriages. On average, around 40 percent of respondents in South Korea agreed to legalize same-sex marriages which was a steady increase since 2001. In February 2023, a South Korean court ruled that same-sex couples can receive national health spousal coverage like different-sex couples for the first time.
