Average monthly food and non-food consumption per adult in Tanzania 2017-2018

The average food and non-food consumption per month was measured at just over 95 thousand Tanzanian shillings (TZS) (roughly 41 U.S. dollars) per adult in the period between December 2017 and November 2018. The monthly expenditure for food consumption amounted to 49 thousand TZS (approximately 21.15 U.S. dollars), which was slightly higher than the non-food consumption measured at 45.9 thousand TZS (19.82 U.S. dollars).
