POS terminal figures for 31 countries in Europe 2020
The number of POS terminals found across the various countries in Europe in 2020 was not the highest in the United Kingdom. Indeed, Italy had only recently overtaken the island nation when it comes to these systems found at retail locations for processing card payments. These portable devices are now the normal practice for B2C services across Europe. As of late December 2020, it was estimated there were over 15.5 million such terminals processing payment s across Europe.
