A survey among English farm holdings that used a PC or laptop in October of 2019 saw 32 percent of responding farms use their device to run mapping software to help with the management of environmental schemes (for example Landapp or ArcGIS). The most commonly stated use for PCs and laptops in relation to business operations was to use the device to use services from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and related services such as CTS, Basic Payments Scheme, surveys, and others.
