Leading industries on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange China 2022, by market cap

By the end of June 2022, the market capitalization of the manufacturing industry on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange was more than 25 trillion yuan. Therefore, the manufacturing sector represented 65 percent of the stock exchange's 35 trillion market capitalization. The second largest industry was finance with 1.8 trillion yuan market capitalization, followed by the IT sector with over 1.8 trillion yuan in issued shares. On the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, many of the traded companies were state-owned enterprises in which the Chinese government maintains control.
