As of July 2020, Iowa was the leading U.S. state based on fastest year-on-year growth of SMB businesses selling on Amazon. Second-ranked Washington had 56 percent year-over-year increase of SMB sellers on the retail platform. In 2019, global Amazon marketplace sales amounted to almost 230 billion U.S. dollars.
