The most popular accommodation type for domestic tourists in Denmark in 2019 was staying in a holiday house or a cabin was. In detail, 36 percent of the respondents traveling in Denmark that year stayed in rented holiday homes. Furthermore, 21 percent of domestic tourists stayed in hotels, while 12 percent were on camp sites. When traveling abroad, however, hotels was the most popular accommodation type among Danes.
