Prevalence of cervical smear screening among women over 20 in Belgium 1997-2018

In 2018, two out of three Belgian women, aged over 20 years old, had been screened for cervical cancer in the last three years. Since 1997, the share of women of this age who have had a Pap smear (also called cervical or vaginal smear) slightly increased in Belgium.
