According to a survey on Malaysian millennials' saving behavior conducted in May 2019, both savers and non-savers found it difficult to save due to the rising cost of living, with 68 and 61 percent share of respondents respectively. In comparison, six percent of respondents in each category preferred spending their excess income to saving it.
