Gross value of oats in South Africa 2000-2018
As of 2018, the preliminary gross value of oats in South Africa amounted for roughly 99.9 million South African rands (this is equivalent to about 6.05 million U.S. dollars). This represented an increase of nearly 34 percent from the previous year. Two major increases were registered in 2011 and 2015. In 2011, the gross value was close to 132.8 million South African rand (approximately 8.05 million U.S. Dollars, whereas 2015 had an increase of 127 percent. These inclines can be attributed to an increase in production volumes.
