The Tampa Bay Rays are a Major League Baseball franchise located in St. Petersburg, Florida that plays in the East Division of the American League. The franchise was named Tampa Bay Devil Rays when first founded in 1998 and then renamed to the Tampa Bay Rays in 2007. During a July 2020 survey in the United States, six percent of respondents had a very favorable opinion of the team.
