Japan: distribution funeral visits by type 2022

In 2022, the share of funeral participants in Japan who attended family funerals amounted to 55.7 percent. Family funerals were the most common type of funeral that respondents attended in that year, as there was a considerable decline in attendance at general funerals after the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic.
