Production value of apples from South Africa 2000-2019
The production value of apples from South Africa declined to roughly 5.8 billion South African Rands (356.7 thousand U.S. dollars) in 2018/19. In the previous production year, the value reached approximately 6.1 billion Rands (376.5 U.S. dollars). Since 2000, an overall increasing trend was measured in the production value of apples. Nevertheless, few major dips, attributed to bad weather conditions, were registered in the period.
