Monthly export value of sisal from Tanzania 2019-2021
In September 2021, the export value of sisal in Tanzania was measured at 0.9 million U.S. dollars, which was a value lower than in the month before. In October 2019, the country exported 5.6 million U.S. dollars of sisal, the largest value in the period observed. The plant produces a fiber used mainly to make ropes and mats. Tanzania is the second largest sisal producer in the world.
