According to the survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in Singapore, approximately 70 percent of the female respondents and 74 percent of the male respondents stated that they ordered food from food delivery apps more often during the COVID-19 outbreak because Singapore had imposed a closure of all restaurants and dining establishments. Eight percent of the male respondents said the reason why they used food delivery apps more was because they could not cook. The same survey showed that Singaporeans mainly ordered dinner on food delivery apps.
