Distribution of the amount of health insurance frauds in France 2018, by players
The French National Health Insurance Fund (Caisse Nationale d’Assurance maladie), which has a high premium value, has been exposed to numerous frauds and other fraudulent activities committed by several players. Understanding the importance of mobilization regarding all forms of fraud, the French Health Insurance has set up actions and resources to detect this type of activity, in order to be able to counter these frauds. It appears from this chart that, while the policyholders accounted for more than half of the cases of fraud and misconduct detected and stopped (51.34 percent) in volume terms, the financial loss caused by them concerned only 22.12 percent of the amount involved in 2018.
