Florida Power & Light's electricity generation capacity mix FY 2023
Natural gas was the main fuel used by Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) to generate electricity in 2023. The fossil fuel accounted for 73 percent of the company's generating capacity mix. Another 14 percent of capacity were sourced from solar energy that year. FPL is the principal subsidiary of NextEra Energy. In 2023, NextEra Energy's operating revenue stood at around 28 billion U.S. dollars.
