
Sales volume of peaches in markets in South Africa 2000-2019
As of 2018/19, the sales volume of peaches in the local markets from South Africa was at 20.8 thousand metric tons, a decrease of roughly 14.1 percent in comparison to the previous year. In 2017/18, 24.3 thousand metric tons of the fruit were sold domestically. Since 2000, three other major drops were registered in 2003/04, 2008/09, and 2013/14, with reductions of around 30 percent,16 percent, and 16.6 percent, respectively.
