South Africa: sales volume of plums 2000-2019

As of 2018/19, the sales volume of plums on markets in South Africa declined to 12,204 metric tons, a decrease of roughly 29 percent in comparison to the preceding year. In 2017/18, 17,222 metric tons of the fruit were sold in the local markets. The fluctuations may be related to variations in the volume of plums produced in the country.
