Location distribution of influencer followers in China 2020, by social media platform
As of May 2020, about 35.5 percent of influencer followers in China resided in small towns which are generally categorized into tier 4 or lower cities. When it comes to influencer marketing targetting young consumers, the short video app Kuaishou and the cross-border ecommerce app Red were the most effective social media platforms in China.
