In the marketing year 2018/2019, the preliminary sales volume of oranges on markets in South Africa amounted to 99.8 thousand metric tons, an increase of roughly 13 percent from 2017/2018. In the same year, sales on the local market accounted for 5.63 percent of the total orange production in the country.
