Nigeria: percentage change in diesel prices 2023

In September 2023, the price of diesel in Nigeria increased by 4.27 percent, compared to August 2023. In the period under review, the largest increase was recorded in March 2022, when the average price increased by almost 73 percent in comparison to the previous month. This steep rise was related to a global fuel shortage and supply chain challenges triggered by the war in Ukraine and regulations used to curb the spread of COVID-19.
