Investment freedom sub-score of Ethiopia on the Economic Freedom Index 2000-2020
In 2020, the investment freedom sub-score on the Economic Freedom Index for Ethiopia was 35. This was the same score as 2019. Between 2000 and 2020, the Ethiopian sub-score fluctuated between 50 and 20 points. In the period under review, the sub-score was usually below both the continent and world averages. However, between 2004 and 2007, the investment freedom in Ethiopia was higher than the African average, while in 2005 and 2007 the sub-score was also higher than the world average.
