Indonesia: monthly free video consumption on mobile by gender 2019

A survey conducted on mobile ownership in Indonesia revealed that 80 percent of male respondents watched free videos on a mobile phone at least monthly as of 2019. The mobile phone internet penetration rate in Indonesia was expected to reach about 87 percent by 2025.

A mobile internet user is defined as a person who has used the internet on a mobile phone at least once in the last three months.
Mobile internet users do not have to personally own a mobile phone. Respondents may have engaged in watching video on a phone other than their own. The video use case was asked only of those who reported having ever used the internet on a mobile.
