Perception on the economic importance of mining in Peru 2020

As of July 2020, nearly six out of ten Peruvians residing in urban areas believed the formal mining sector was very important for the economic reactivation of Peru in the months following the coronavirus outbreak in the country. According to the survey conducted in the country, only 16 percent of respondents deemed the sector of little or no importance to Peru's economic reactivation.
