Share of smokers in Russia 2013-2022, by frequency
In 2022, one half of the respondents revealed being non-smokers in Russia. This share was measured at its highest in 2016, at 57 percent. The share of active smokers increased in recent years. One fifth of the residents reported smoking one pack of cigarettes per day, up from 16 percent in 2019.
