Coronavirus deaths in Africa as of March 08, 2021, by country

As of March 08, 2021, the overall deaths due to coronavirus (COVID-19) in Africa reached 106,280. South Africa faced the highest number of casualties. With 50,803 deaths, the country accounted for roughly 47.8 percent of the total. Egypt was the second most affected in the continent, as the virus made 11,038 victims in the nation, nearly 10.4 percent of the overall deaths in Africa. Morocco accounted for around 8.2 percent of the casualties in the continent, with 8,683 victims. By the same date, Africa recorded more than four million cases of COVID-19.
