Number of residence permits granted in Denmark 2022, by country of origin
By far the highest number of the 126,854 residence permits granted in Denmark in 2022 were given to people from Ukraine, which is explained by the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war that year. 35,600 residence permits were granted to Ukrainians that year. Romanians was the group who received the second most residence permits that year, followed by Poles. Of the people from non-European countries who were granted a Danish residence permit, Indians represented the largest group.
