Top inbound travel markets in summer Austria 2023

The number of international overnight stays in Austria increased in the 2023 summer season over the previous year. Overall, Germany was the leading inbound travel market based on overnight stays. Between May and October 2023, overnight stays by German tourists totaled nearly 31.6 million, rising from just above 31 million between May and October 2022. The Netherlands recorded the second-highest figure in the 2023 summer season, with around 4.35 million overnight stays.
