Priorities of the next government according to Canadians 2021
The Canadian federal election was held on September 20, 2021, two years ahead of schedule, after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called for the dissolution of Parliament on August 15. Trudeau had been at the head of a minority government since his election in 2019. Regarding the new government, the top three priorities of Canadians, when polled in late August, were the cost of living and inflation, increased health funding, and economic recovery from the pandemic.
