Wastewater reuse in Morocco 2016
In 2016, 60 percent of the wastewater in Morocco were discharged into the sea untreated, which represented a volume of 475.2 million cubic meters (MCM), while 316.8 MCM were thrown into rivers and forests. Furthermore, a low volume of wastewater was reused in the agricultural sector, which was one of the means of alleviating water scarcity and improving crop productivity and environmental sustainability.
