In a survey conducted in 2019, around 49 percent of Japanese male respondents and 53 percent of female respondents considered themselves to be relatively healthy. Among male respondents, approximately 22 percent considered themselves to be unhealthy, while about 19 percent of women evaluated themselves as not healthy.
