Self-evaluation of the personal health condition Japan 2019, by age group

In a survey conducted in 2019, a majority of close to 80 percent of Japanese respondents aged between 20 to 29 years old evaluated themselves to be healthy or relatively healthy. In the 50 to 59 age group, the lowest share among age cohorts of around 73 percent considered themselves healthy or relatively healthy.
