Leading symphony orchestras in Japan FY 2020, by number of performances
In the fiscal year 2020, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra had a total of 208 performances, the most in Japan. The majority of these were on-demand performances. The Greater Tokyo area seemed to be the focal point for classical music in Japan, as many of the leading orchestras, in terms of number of performances, were situated there.
