Over six in ten German online retailers combined online orders to make less shipping trips in order to reduce their environmental impact, as a survey from 2021 revealed. Another 22 percent of online retailers planned to do so in the future. German retailers with an online presence envisaged additional measures to tackle climate change, including the use of reusable packaging material and offering a repair service for damaged products.
