Ecuador: industry & innovation development goal performance 2019, by indicator
A global Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) created by the United Nations of industry, innovation, and infrastructure is based on a country's progress in technology and sustainability contributions. According to the indicators used to measure Ecuador's advancement on this objective in 2019, over half of its population used the internet or were subscribed to mobile broadband. However, the country is lagging in areas such as scientific or technical articles, with nearly one article published for every 1,000 people. In 2019, Ecuador also received a score of 26.56 out of 100 in the Global Innovation Index, slightly down from the country's score of 26.8 a year prior.
