Solar energy investment in Latin America

Foreign investments in solar energy in Latin America from 2013 to 2019 added up to more than 20 billion U.S. dollars. Around two thirds of these investments were signed in the last three years of the period, in contrast to less than one billion dollars invested in 2013. Mexico was the leading recipient country in the region in 2019.
