Transportation and storage industry: annual turnover European Union 2011-2018

The turnover of the transportation and storage industry in the European Union increased by 0.1 trillion euros (+6.37 percent) in 2018 in comparison to the previous year. With 1.62 trillion euros, the turnover thereby reached its highest value in the observed period. Notably, the turnover in this industry continuously increased over the last years.
Turnover is defined by Eurostat as the total of all sales (excluding VAT) of goods and services carried out by the enterprises of a given sector during the reference period.
