Colombia is the Latin American country with the highest number of public holidays declared for 2022. Since the Emiliani law enacted in December 22, 1983, the Colombian government moves over half of the public holidays to the Monday after the official date, allowing its population to enjoy several long weekends each year. In 2022, Chileans will celebrate 16 public holidays, placing the Southern nation as the second country with most public holidays in this list. Argentina and Venezuela follow with 15 days each.
