Opinion on EU carbon tax plan in Russia 2020, by age

Nearly 70 percent of Russians believed that the carbon tax proposed by the European Union would be directed not at fighting environmental issues, but rather at maintaining the infrastructure of the EU, according to a survey from September 2020. Russians aged 18 to 24 years were the only group with a larger share of respondents believing that the EU cared about the environment by suggesting that tax.
