A survey of Malaysians intending to travel in 2020 conducted by vase.ai found that 70 percent of the respondents booked their travel accommodation through online booking sites. By comparison, ten percent made their bookings through offline means. Restrictions on international travel has led to a spike in domestic tourism in Malaysia in 2020.
