Asia: preferred means of transportation by country 2021

In a survey conducted in September and October 2021 asking consumers about their mobility needs, personal vehicles were the most popular means of transportation in all surveyed Asian countries and regions. Public transportation was the second most popular choice in South Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia. It also tied for second place alongside taxi and ridehailing services in India. In China, ridehailing and rentable e-scooters or bicycles were the second most popular transportation methods, as chosen by ten percent of respondents, respectively.
